O’s Notes: This is the debut recording for drummer Dave Pope in a trio with John Patitucci on bass and his brother, producer Mike Pope playing piano. There is excellent solo work on “I Love You” across the trio especially by Patitucci who comes alive again on “Once I Loved”. You And The Night And The Music is solid, 45+minutes of swinging jazz.
