O’s Notes: Isle Of Saints“is an easy listening set from The Uprising, a contemporary band featuring Elizabeth Rodriguez (vocals, violin) Bill King (keyboards), Roberto Riveron (b) and Magdelys Savigne (d). They set the stage with the quiet, festive “Havana Odyssey” and maintain an even keel throughout the set. It is relaxing, warm music from a tight knit band. Elizabeth’s scatting adds favorably to the equation. We“enjoyed “Carmen’s Veranda” and “That’s The Way Of The World” featuring“Riveron. The entire album is only 30 minutes but it’s all-good!
