O’s Notes: Jens plays trombone, produces and conducts his large ensemble, a powerful big band. He also composed half of the eight selections. Deb Lyons is the featured vocalist on “My Funny Valentine” and “Joy Spring”. Instrumental soloists include Vinnie Cutro (t), Rob Paparozzi (harmonica) and especially Wendelboe. It is a jovial, bouncy set.
