O’s Notes: Paul Carlon plays sax and leads a large ensemble paying tribute to Billy Strayhorn. Billy’s song book is large but Carlon picks and arranges around the Latin theme, specifically Rumba. The music is vibrant, energetic and rich with brass and percussion. Christelle Durandy adds vocals on five selections adding yet another dimension. The result is a set that deserves a tip of the hat!
