O’s Notes: This is volume 2 in a collection of Salsa and Latin Jazz from the San Francisco Bay Area’s best local musicians. We liked the first CD and this is a strong follow-up. The music is meant to accompany The Last Mambo, a video documentary centered on Latin jazz and dance in San Francisco. Many of us are still anxiously awaiting its release. In the mean time dr. Rita Hargrove and trombonist Wayne Wallace continue building anticipation with great music.
