O’s Notes: Guitarist Greg Diamond serves up a fresh set of jazz-fusion on Beata. His band is a trio with bassist Edward Pérez and drummer Ludwig Afonso. Greg’s style is a contemporary mix of Latin jazz and jazz fusion. We liked the unique take of “Giant Steps”, the funky “Ensimismado”, “Cumbita”, and “Song For Jerry” in this lively, session.
