O’s Notes: The 8-Bit Big Band expands their arsenal on Game Changers to include show tunes like “Can You Feel the Sunshine?” featuring vocals by Joel Waggoner”, and the energetic “I Wanna Take You For A Ride” with instrumentation that begged comparison to Tower of Power’s “What Is Hip”. There’s a Sinatra-like “You Wouldn’t Know” featuring Benny Benack III. Aisha Jackson breathes soul into “Beneath the Mask”, and the dynamic arrangement of “Song of Storms” featuring Patrick Bartley on sax. We’re going to have to listen more closely to the music on the kid’s video games!
