O’s Notes: Bandleader, saxophonist Ed Palermo assembles a brassy big band that also includes vocalists, guitarists Bruce Mc Daniel and Mike Keneally. We don’t ordinarily associate a large ensemble like this with either progressive rock or fusion, however Palermo leads his big band for a fine effort. Prog Vs. Fusion illustrates the differences in the contemporary genres. We enjoyed “Long Distance Runaround”, “There Comes A Time”, “Snake Oil”, and “Spanish G-Spot Tornado”.
