O’s Notes: This is a pairing of the legendary jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, with the legendary jazz venue, Bakers Keyboard Lounge in Detroit, Michigan. The time is August 1960. Oscar is in rare form here, in a trio with bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen. This gem is only now being released (mid/April 2026) by Verve on CD, and as a 3-disc vinyl set!
