O’s Notes: The Escovedo’s handle the percussion, drums and some of the vocals. They are accompanied by a strong Latin brass section. The horn arrangements are crisp and well-integrated, fiery and exhilarating. Justo Almario adds flute to complete the package. This live recording is excellent allowing clear resolution of all elements. The drums (Sheila E) and percussion attack on “The E Medley” is worth the price of the CD alone!
