O’s Notes: Tineke is back with yet another fine recording. She’s playing alto and soprano sax with her expressive signature and also makes her tenor debut. She’s joined by an excellent band including drummer Terri Lynn Carrington, Rob van Bavel (p) and guitarist Edoardo Righini who shines on “Fleurette Africaine”. Postma wrote all of the music except 3 Ellington/Strayhorn tunes. They are all piece of a beautiful landscape. “Traveling Circus” got our blood flowing and we enjoyed the change of pace from the relaxing “Comprendo” then soothing with “The Experience” and chilling on “Short Conversations”. It’s a very good set.
