O’s Notes: Guitarist Steve Herberman can dance on both sides of the street. He sooths us with the warm melody of “Negev Journey”, swings on “Shoutin’ Down” and races through the changes on “Cos Groove”. His band is a trio with Drew Gress (b) and Mark Ferber (d). They fill in the slots nicely, adding timely solos and keeping the beat moving. Both are up to whatever is thrown at them on Steve’s nine originals. A good effort.
