O’s Notes: George Shearing was a legendary jazz pianist that left us with many memories. At Home is a recording made I his apartment living room in 1982 with bassist Don Thompson. A recording producer initially pushed it back but it captures both artists in an unencumbered performance. They take us on a relaxing journey through fourteen classics complete with rich solos and easy improvisation. These were two gentlemen enjoying their synergy and sharing the beauty of a duo with us in a session that worked then and still does today.
