O’s Notes: Carol has a soft seductive voice that is well placed on these dozen Brazilian classics. The music was arranged and produced by pianist Antonio Adolfo. Claudio Spiewak plays guitar with Jorge Helder on bass a d drummer Rafael Barata. We enjoyed Saboya best I her native tongue on songs like “Beleza E Canão”. Other highlights are “Doce Presena” with Hendrik Meurkens (harmonica), “Tarde” and “Tristesse” both with guest saxophonist Dave Liebman. This is a warm set of bossa nova ballads.
