O’s Notes: Guitarist Nate Najar forms a trio with bassist Tommy Cecil and Chuck Redd on vibes and drums. The program is dedicated to the legendary Charlie Byrd. Guitar lovers are in for a treat as they perform works written by Byrd, Jobim, Ellington, Rogers, Gershwin and others, all swinging in the spirit of Byrd. Nate borrows Charlie’s 1974 Ramerez 1A classical guitar (unamplified) for the session giving it true realism. This is a truly enjoyable set.
