O’s Notes: The combination of Paquito’s Latin groove with The New York Voices playing Brazilian bossa novas is pure musical bliss! From the opener “Corcovado”, you know you’re in for a treat. D’Rivera also reminds us that it is his album with sweet sax melodies, especially on the instrumentals like “One For Tom”. It’s a live set at Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild in Pittsburgh where the audience appreciation is a strong indication of the stellar set.
