O’s Notes: Quadro Nuevo is Mulo Francel (sax, cl), Robert Wolf (g), Heinz-Ludger Jeromin (accordion) and D. D. Lowko (b). They are strengthened by the addition of several guest musicians on selected tracks. The Pegasus String Quartet puts the icing on “La Habanera” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. They celebrate the romantic music of the cinema, music that has remained with us long after we’ve forgotten the film! They perform with drama that is commonly found in Argentina. It is an absolutely beautiful session! Among the best are “Bagdad Café” and “Un Homme et une Femme”.
