O’s Notes: This is a trio led by guitarist Marcos Amorim with Ney Conceião (b) and Robertinho Silva (d). They have a blend of Brazilian fusion that is energetic. Ney’s work on bass is exceptional, especially on “Manaíra” and “O Boto”. But Marcos reminds us whose date it is on “Solidata”. There is also nice stereo separation on this recording placing Marcos on the right of the stage, Robertinho in the middle and Ney stage left.
