O’s Notes: Veteran composer and conductor Maria Schneider has been sprinkling her seeds of jazz over many audiences since the mid-1980s. She has been decorated by many forums including a Grammy in 2004. She assembles an incredible team for Data Lords including Steve Wilson (s-sax, a-sax), Gary Versace (accordion), Frank Kimbrough (p), Marshall Gilkes (tb), Donny McCaslin (t-sax), Ben Monder (g), Dave Pietro (a-sax), Scott Robinson (b-sax) and Mike Rodriguez (t). This is a grand symphonic experience with music that is befitting of the cinema. The stage is never congested, allowing us to experience the beautiful tones and melodies of Schneider’s music.
