O’s Notes: This edition of Earth Wind And Wonder – Volume 2 is another collection of jazzed up classic R&B tunes by Earth Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder with a fresh band. Tenor saxophonist Don Braden rearranges these classic R&B songs into contemporary jazz that will resonate with a large audience. Pianist Miki Hayama and drummer Jeremy Warren shine on “Master Blaster”. Art Hirahara plays piano on four selections notably “Send One Your Love”, and Khalil Kramer Bell add percussion on three selections notably “Creepin’” with Don on flute. We also enjoyed “Reasons”, and “Profusion”.
