O’s Notes: Mike studied at Oscar Peterson’s Advanced School of Contemporary Music. He followed this up with many years on stage with Dizzy. These associations have shaped him as a pianist and here as a bandleader. His trio includes bassist Paul West and Jimmy Wormworth on drums.
