O’s Notes: This sextet features three of the top jazz sax men: Michael Brecker (as), Joe Lovano (ts) and Dave Liebman (ss). The rhythm section is also formidable with pianist Phil Markowitz, Cecil Mc Bee (b) and drummer Billy Hart. The latter two also were a part of The Three Altos (sax) tour last spring. They play six well-developed compositions, 4 soothing originals and 2 Coltrane classics.
