O’s Notes: These eleven songs are fresh and inviting, dedicated to the memory of three jazz legends: Shelly Manne, Red Mitchell and Jimmy Rowles. Bill graces the piano surrounded by drummer Matt Wilson and Martin Wood on bass. The theme of the session is the warmth and comfort of home. Each of the the tunes conforms with a familiar sound that makes repeated listening enjoyable. A noteworthy addition.
