O’s Notes: Tenor saxophonist Jeff Rupert leads The Flying Horse Big Band with lots of“Good News“following last year’s well regarded take on Batman music. This one brought a lot of smiles to our face, song after song including vocals from Jeff ‘T-Bone‘ Gerard on both takes of ‘Imagine‘. The UCF Studio Orchestra conducted by Chung Park brought a wealth of strings into the mix on four selections and there are numerous strong solos through the session.
