O’s Notes: This trio works very well together as demonstrated on the relaxed opener “Yesterdays” with Dave leading the melody on piano while Jeff Johnson fills in the lower register on bass. Joe La Barbera keeps time on drums including some excellent work on the cymbals. They play eight standards swinging their way along to a warm set.
