O’s Notes: Dick Cary played with Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Dorsey and Benny Goodman in the late 1940’s. He enjoyed a rebirth in the 1980’s with big band swing. Cary’s Tuesday Night Friends Band is now directed by Dick Hamilton, also playing trumpet, alto horn and piano. The band swings in 1940’s fashion with new millennium sound quality. Nice stuff.
