O’s Notes: Rich assembled a 21 piece big band initially to serve the Tacoma, WA area. They have been very successful and recordings have been sold globally. The music is the best from the 1950s and 1960s big band jazz era. The musicians all share Rich’s enthusiasm for the art form and it is transcended in the music. This is jovial and hot big band led by Wetzel’s screaming trumpet.
