O’s Notes: Guitarist, arranger, producer and bandleader Peter Hand delivers an electrifying big band session on“Hand Painted Dream. There is rich, warm trumpet from Eddie Allen, buttery guitar from Hand and soulful vocals from Camille Thurman on ‘If You Could See Me Now‘. We enjoyed a nice taste of bossa nova on ‘Brazilian Emerald‘ and the festive Caribbean spirit on ‘Calypsiana‘. We also enjoyed the John Bailey’s (flugelhorn) work on ‘Once Upon A Time‘ and the full participation finale, ‘Mr. PC/ Cousin Mary‘ capping an excellent set.
