O’s Notes: Drummer E. J. Strickland leads a core band with Hans Glawischnig (b), Luis Perdomo (p), Jaleel Shaw (as) and Marcus Strickland (ss, ts). There are also several guest artists along the way. Strickland did a fine job composing the music keeping a cool harmony flowing through the entire session. We also enjoyed the lengthy introductions to “Eternal” featuring vocalist Charlene Wade and the percussive work of Pedro Martinez (congas) and E. J. on “Predrito’s Prelude”. Well integrated from song to song and engaging top to bottom!
