O’s Notes: Infinity features Wayne’s performing quintet including David Belove (b), Murray Low (p), Michael Spiro (perc) and Paul van Wageningen (d). This team has over 5 years of experience playing together and it shows in the seamless interaction of the band. There is a spirit of mutual respect between them that allows soloist to excel and the unit to thrive! The music is a very vibrant series of samba, bolero, mambo, cha-cha and funky Latin tunes. They are split between originals and covers. Jackie Ryan adds warm vocals on “Love Walked In” and a really cool arrangement of “Close Your Eyes”. Wayne shines on trombone especially on “Memories of You”. This is more ‘feel good’ music from Wallace.
