O’s Notes: Trombonist Jason Jackson leads a large ensemble play ten swinging tunes. Half on them are we’re composed and/or arranged by Jackson. The band is fortified with proven soloists like Roy Hargrove (t), Terell Stafford (t), Steve Wilson (as), Dick Oats (as, fl) and Slide Hampton (tb). We enjoyed the set enough to keep it in our player for extended listening.
