O’s Notes: On this edition of Concord’s Instant Party, the flame is provided by legendary conga player, Mongo Santamaria. The songs are extracted from four of his releases during 1987 -1990 and includes “Day Tripper” and “Ponce” with Ray Vega on trumpet. It’s a nice collection of Mongo’s work on Concord Jazz.
