O’s Notes: Jazz guitar is quite soothing when done well. Rich fills the bill with his Jazz Guitar Dreams. He makes his guitar express emotions as well as burnin’ on improvised melodies. We appreciate the former whether he’s picking single notes or strumming chord melodies, the warm feelings that are conveyed are the true differentiation of a winner. He uses a little bossa nova beat on “How Deep Is The Ocean” and romances us on “My Own and Only Love”, two highlights in a strong set.
