O’s Notes: Cobb leads off on sax with “Satin Doll” and you can see his emotion flowing into his horn. Next up Ahmad Jamal is really tickling the ivories with Gary Burton (vibes) on “Autumn Leaves” in a 9+ minute prime performance! The balance features two songs each from Billy Cobham and Steps Ahead, both more on the fusion side. We preferred the first two in this balanced set.
