O’s Notes: Alto saxophonist Richie Cole has recorded bebop, jazz-fusion, modern jazz and now Latin jazz on his latest release“Latin Lover. He captures the vibrancy and romance of the genre on traditional songs like “Cielito Lindo” and “Serenata”. Latin a la Cole touches bolero, samba and left coast breeze. The majority of the songs are romantic and that’s a good thing, allowing Cole to seduce us with his sax.
