O’s Notes: Mark is one of the best bebop guitarists on the scene today. He blazes through the notes with crisp articulation. There’s no warm as he burst into action on the opening title track. He slows down on “Thanks For The Memory” showing us a mellow side as well. The rhythm section is drummer Lewis Nash, David Hazeltine (p) and Peter Washington (b). Among the best are “Chuy’s Challenge” and “Left Hand Corner”. No surprises here, just the good feelings we’re accustomed to with Elf!
