O’s Notes: Flutist Holly Hoffman and pianist Mike Wofford are formidable musicians with a lot of confidence. They have to be to perform as a duo without the cover of a rhythm section. There is nothing to fear for either of them as they have a familiarity with each other as well their music and many years of experience. They blend of mostly covers with a few originals. Holly takes off on “Twelve” and Mike follows with an engaging solo of his own. The mood is generally one of Spring with butterflies dancing and the occasional blue day as on “Free Day”. They have a good time during this recording and it spills into the music.
