O’s Notes: Mike (p) plays seven newly arranged classics featuring Peter Washington (b) and Vic Lewis (d). He opens with a tender ballad “My Old Flame” before stepping up the pace with “Take The Coltrane” then the cool “Macedonia” featuring bassist Peter Washington. Lewis steps forward with a lengthy solo to introduce “Medley: Lucky To Be Me/I’m Just a Lucky So and So”. Wofford and company vary the pace and mood for an exciting live performance. It’s well recorded on SACD.
