O’s Notes: Drummer Jason Lee Bruns leads a fine Jazz Collective with Angelo Metz (g), Jason Comer (t, flugelhorn), Jacques Voyemant (tb), Mahesh Balasooria (p), Kim Richmond (sax) and Edwin Livingston (b). English vocals come from Kevin Bachelder and Metz adds Portuguese vocals. The program is composed of great contemporary jazz, and Latin selections and come alive in this vibrant set recorded at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. Bruns gives it punch, makes it inviting and easy to embrace.
