O’s Notes: This live session marries the warmth of McPartland’s piano with bassist Rufus Reed and Joe Morello on drums. Each musician sparkles during the set especially on “Shanghai Blues”. Marian’s melodies are as rich as any vocalist for example on “You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To”. This is an enjoyable and inviting session.
