O’s Notes: Venerable sax player Houston person takes the stage Live in Paris at Cité de la musique. He’s accompanied by guitarist Peter Bernstein, drummer Willie Jones III and Ben Paterson on the B3. Bernstein shines on “Sweet Sucker” and Paterson provides the glue holding the band together. Jones has a cool drum solo on “Sunny”. But this is Person’s set and he is on his game with that wispy, smooth, cool tenor sax that continues to mesmerize audiences around the world.
