O’s Notes: Juan Carlos plays guitar, both Spanish rhythms and hot lead lines. He’s got the fire burning and the band, including Otmaro Ruiz (p) and Luis Conte (congas), is right there behind him. He opens with a racy rumba, adds samba with “Jobim” and a bit of bolero later in the session. Nice.
