O’s Notes: Drummer Harper has created a new set of bouncing bop tunes with a variety of different characteristics. He makes good use of a skilled band infused with different musicians. Guest artist Antonio Hart (sax) makes a nice contribution on a few tracks, notably “I’ve Never Been in Love Before”. We also liked Sean Higgins’ (p) work on the opener and “Reflection”. Other favorites were “Children of the World”; the blues based “After Hours” and the finalé “The Prayer”.
