O’s Notes: The opener is definitely radio worthy and it is followed up by ten more tracks with a grooving formula. Organ, brass, real drums and a band that’s ready to take it in a number of directions makes this CD a winner. Their arrangement of “Spain” had strong Latin bounce and when we got to the warm and funky “Gospel Brunch” we were totally sold! But it doesn’t stop there. Check out the seductive sax and guitar solo on “Turn Down The Night”. We could go on but we’ll save some for you to discover. This is a must have for contemporary and Latin jazz fans.
