O’s Notes: The opener, “Cubanova” with its bossa nova rhythms, sets the mood for Mediterráneo. It is inoffensive, warm, relaxing and easily digested. The music has a contemporary feel that is not too commercial. Marc plays guitar and keyboards and includes Luis Conte (percussion), Lulo Perez (t), Fred Gaillaedet (keyboards) and Jimmy Haslip (b) for support. While we like “Señor Groove” and “Lady” best, all eleven songs are good!
