O’s Notes: This is the SACD hybrid version of 1988’s Mister E. The performance is strong with the Escovedos, Pete, Peter Michael and Sheila mastering the percussion, congas, timbales and vocals. They are joined by a Latin brass ensemble. David Belove does an excellent job on bass with tight punchy beats. The SACD version surfaces all of the nuances adding to the listening experience.
