O’s Notes: The quartet is composed of Jereon von Vliet (p), Guus Bakker (b), Pascal Vermeer (d) and Dick on sax. The ten songs are all new originals. Half of them were inspired by Bela Bartok including “Stolen Dream”, a peaceful and inspirational tune. De Graaf pushes the tempo up on “Handiclap” and they really swing on: A Touch of Beta”. Our favorite was the finale, “Désmasqué” with it’s mild calypso beat.
