O’s Notes: No Secrets, No Lies is a compelling collection of music from Larry Wilson who assembles a fine team to deliver his message. Most of the music is composed by Wilson except covers of Hubbard’s “Little Sunflower” and “We Found Love” by Calvin Harris. Larry’s music has a lot of pop as we expect with his upbeat rhythms and sharp accents on drums. The groove starts with “On The Move” and continues through all thirteen selections. We enjoyed the soulful “You Seem Familiar” featuring vocalist Akiah Uwanda and the sacred rendition of “The Lord’s Prayer” featuring Celeste Betton. Ray Callender (t), Jose Rojas (ts), Daniel Dickenson (as) and Todd DelGiudice (ts) provide meaningful brass solos throughout the set making Larry’s production first class!
