O’s Notes: Le Mirifique Orchestra is a chamber jazz ensemble under the direction of Emmanuel Bénèche (horn) and Alban Darcie (sax). They deliver a romantic slice of Paris with Oh! My Love, a collection of thirteen love songs. The instrumentation is precise and vocals come from several voices. Among the best are “Skylark” featuring Agathe Peyrat, “Don’t Explain” featuring Alice Lewis and “Pearce que he t’aime” featuring Lois Le Van.
