O’s Notes: Bill (sax) assembles a strong team of musicians including Dave Struker (g), Tony Guliza (keyboards, vocals), Mark Luebbe (b), Joey Gulizia (perc) and Victor Lewis (d). They all started playing jazz in Omaha but this is their first project together. The program includes bebop, blues vocals and cool jazz. They cook on the cool blues of “Cherry Red” with Tony leading the way on the B3 and singing. That is balanced by the cool vibe of “She Was Too Good To Me.” Bill takes the lead on “Geo Rose” mesmerizing us on soprano sax. These are just a few highlights in a strong session with the guys swinging all the way through!
